Wind finally shifted out of the North and our overnight temps dropped to 53F.  It has been soooo hot even to fish.  Had to go this morning after the big cool off.  There are still some flounders around if you know where to go.  I caught probably 25 Red Drum, all were 16-17" range, to small to keep and probably 40+ flounders, lots of 14" ones, our legals are 15".  Speckled Trout are due in anytime now, I will be switching off and chasing them the rest of the year.  Enjoy the pic.

Sweet boat Gary!

Those look like some great eating size fish too, I love flounder! What is the fish on the bottom? Looks like a West Coast Tree fish.

Gary, I gotta tell you... your fishing reports make me want to hop on a plane to NC and impose..biggrin... Is that bottom fish a black drum? California has a fish called a "white seabass" that throws bars similar to that... beautiful fish...

Let me know if you want the rest of those plastics.. I have about twice what I sent you left...

Splash is correct, it is a Black Drum.  This is the first year that they have shown up in our waters.  They make good table fare as well.  They put up a good fight, like reds, they fight all the way to the boat.
