On July 2 we had a tremendous thunder storm roll through our town.It carried 65 mph winds with hail and a lightning show that topped all July 4th fireworks that I have seen. After the storm passed a little before dark I drove around my farm to see if I had any trees down on my pasture fences. While I was out I decided to check on the progress of my food plot.I have one big 80’ pine tree in the middle of the plot.As I drove into the opening I saw that the tree had been split from top to bottom by lightning. As I got closer to inspect it I saw nature’s fury at work.5 dead turkey’s lay at the bottom of the pine tree.I have spent countless hours in the woods, but never have I witnessed anything like this.Check out the pics.
Damn shame though, couple of those birds look really good size.
