About a month to early to even try to flounder fish, but boy has it been warm.  We have had very warm temps (75-80 F) the last couple of weeks and I had to give it a try.  Although we only caught one keeper, it was a goodern.  The pic is my son-in-law and my 3 yr. old granddaughter and my new 2500 HD diesel.  Not bad, $90K in boat and truck and caught one fish?

Gary, our winter was more of a long fall, the freshwater fish are already bedding in some of the lakes around here... And that is a very nice flat fish...

Nice Flounder you got there, but even nicer boat!

This year will be very strange... things here are a month ahead. Lake Michigan surface temps are already 50 degrees off Chicago. I will be fishing the lakefront for perch in the morning. My buddies were down there striking out on salmon yesterday and ended up limiting out on perch. Usually the perch don't show up till summertime and the earliest anyone can remember perch fishing like this was end of April.

Typically St. Patties Day marks the beginning of the Coho Salmon run up our shoreline. This year, it marked the end of that run.
