Our season started last Saturday.  I was committed to go with my son-in-law on his farm for the first day to try and let him get a kill first. All went well until it came time to pull the trigger.  We had four Toms 30 yards and when the smoke cleared four Toms were running off.  Long day after that and we came up empty.  Monday was a good day for me hunting alone, I scored on a 20 lb. bird with double beards.  Tuesday morning I went to a friends hog farm and by 8:30 I had my second bird of the season, a nice 18 lb. bird.  Honorable mention; my son-in-law took off work this Thurs. and Friday and redeemed himself by taking a bird each day.  Talking about a fast season!
