Primos Alpha Dogg and eBay/PayPal

So, this morning, decided to order a Primos Alpha Dogg electronic caller from the states via eBay. All went well till it said confirm and pay, then I did so, and it said, transaction not complete, please return to the item and order again. So I checked my purchase history, nothing there, so did it again. This repeated itself four times, and eventually I gave up. Checked my purchase history again, still nothing. About an hour later I suddenly get FOUR emails from OayPal saying I have transferred funds for a total of FOUR Primos Slpha Dogg callers So, checked eBay purchase history again, still nothing, so have now written to pay pay via email, asking them to cancel and refund THREE of the payments. Tried ringing the guy in the states, and only get an answering machine. If the take these payments and the guy sends all four, that is going to cost me well over £1100.00 with tax and import duty

So, eventually yesterday the guy refunded all four payments. Due to the ****up of eBay not placing the order, but PayPal paying FOUR TIMES for the non existent order, the guy had sold them all to other people, and I was left without the caller, but minus almost $1200.00
When the money came back it was in dollars, but in the short time it was in dollars, the dollar had dropped, so got it back I to pounds, and had LOST £15.00 per transaction, so a total of £60.00 out of pocket (that's about €90-$100.00) grrrrrr
The original supplier won't have any for at least another two weeks.
So got fed up, and bought one from another supplier, also £15-£20.00 more expensive, BUT, it is ordered, and paid, and I have a confirmation email to that effect.
PayPal are still holding on to the money, and will release it in 20-30 days.
Apparently their conditions state they are not responsible for any faults and not liable, so the money I lost due to their ****up is my problem FFS GRRRRRRRRRRR
Now have to wait 3-4 weeks minimum for it to arrive at the customs here (how the hell can one supplier ask £11.00 to post it, yet another supplier ask £76.00 for the same standard US international post ? It weighs no more than a transistor radio, and hasn't got the batteries supplied either, so no weight to it at all, and its a tiny thing too. RIP OFFcomes to mind :(

eBay is full of crazy people and trickery... the guy that lowers his price is hoping that someone doesn't catch on to the fact that he is making his profit in charging outrageous shipping charges... Also eBay charges the seller a percentage of what the seller LISTS the item at and also a percentage of what the item finally SELLS for.. so in order to dodge the listing percentage many sellers list their items at a low price and recoup the loss through gouging you with shipping.. ON TOP of all that Paypal charges transaction fees... so a seller may hike the shipping cost up even more to offset PAYPAL... it's a stupid system..

Did you explain the the seller that because he didn't refund your money in the proper currency you lost money? I'm pretty sure Paypal is configured for exchange rates.

Yep, but not his problem not paypal s problem, and not ebays problem. They all pass the buck
And the new one hasn't marked it as shipped either, so I'm hoping he has shipped and that he just forgot to mark it. If I haven't got it through in another 3 weeks it means I'll have to start a PayPal recovery yet again, and probably lose money yet again

I feel for ya man, I hate buying stuff off ebay....you should contact him...most eBay sellers will do circus tricks for you in order to keep you from giving them a negative review.. Don't wait 3 weeks...

I ordered a battery charger off the internet once and after several emails and a month of not receiving my item I threatened to turn him in to the FBI cyber crimes devision and posted this link http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/investigate/cyber ..... I never heard from the guy but I got my charger the very next day... I'm sure he shat himself.

Have to wait the three weeks as it takes three to four weeks generally to arrive from the states, as the post from there takes longer than from china
If its nt arrived then, I will cancel the order and claim Murphy money back from pay pay again

So, just had a quick try of the caller. 8xAA batteries in the caller, 3xAA batteries in the remote. The caller requires the handle to be snapped into place, but that is all the assembling required except for placing the batteries (not supplied) into the unit and the remote.
It can be VERY, VERY, loud indeed LOL, and the sound quality is excellent too, very lifelike.
Its a very compact unit, and will be easy to move about. When not deployed in the field, the remote clips onto the back so is always at hand and can't be lost
I can see me getting a lot of foxes using this.
Now, if the rain would just stop for a week or two so the ground can dry out, I'll be very happy indeed

So, just ordered a quivering critter (rabbit decoy) and a foxy fox decoy.

The rabbit will be good on foxes, and the fox will be good on crows
