The A-Team was split this day. Family issues only allowed a few hours for two members to hunt. I headed out to our local landfill where we can always find the smallest of crows, the rain crow. They do not decoy or come to the call well, but they will come at a longer range to check you out and if you can make the long shot you can be successful. The landfill opens about 8:00 so we can usually get about an hour in of good quiet shooting before the equipment cranks up. We made one stand there and surprised 13 before they would not play any longer. Left the area in search of normal crows to shoot and found a few by the time we had to split. We ended up wacking 14 more for a total of 27.
This has been a crap season for me... I didnt get out and hunt anywhere near as much as I wanted... and now the lease I have access too is ending.... I just might have to start hitting up orchard owners like the TCP does...
